How To Pick A Pink Diamond Engagement Ring

If you want a modern twist on a classic choose a pink diamond engagement ring. Ever since the’50s presenting a bride with a diamond ring has become a tradition for men. The groom shows the woman how he will care for her by spending a large portion of his salary on her ring.

For the past decade, the traditional white diamond has not been the first choice of engagement ring buyers, who are opting instead for the beautiful, rare colored stones.

There are four Cs of color diamonds, and you should understand these before buying a pink diamond engagement ring. You may know the four Cs from traditional diamonds, but they have different meanings. You should look at the stone’s color, carat, cut, and clarity when deciding on what diamond to purchase. The cost of your engagement ring will depend on these.

Color — This is the most important feature of a colored diamond. You can find slight suggestions of color in some clear stones. The color can be so faint in some smaller stones that it’s only detectable when looking at the stone from a certain angle on in special lighting. Consistency is the key to good color in a stone. A good stone will have the same color throughout.

Carat – the size of stone you choose will determine how expensive it will be. In the purchase of a color diamond ring; however, size is not as crucial as color intensity. Because they are so uncommon, small, brilliant stones will be more costly than larger stones with less color. If intensity of color is most important to you, then you may be much happier with a small stone and a setting that enhances the stone’s brilliance.

Cut: The brightness of the stone is affected by the cut. The cut is very important in pink diamond engagement rings. Round, Marquise, and Princess cuts are the best at showing off color and are therefore the most popular cuts. You should probably get a colorless stone if you want a different cut.

Clarity: The clarity of a stone is very important no matter what diamond you choose. A clear stone will not have cracks, dark spots, or cloudiness. Clarity is even more important in colored stones because a diamond’s color can be hidden by cloudiness.
